super-mario1Remember when we talked some time ago of a patent Nintendo by Shigeru Miyamoto and to make the game easier by introducing a series of mechanical aids in the progress as the choice of levels and the possibility of having substantial aid. [Read more →]

Hajime You! Shisan Unyou DS

Hajime You! Shisan Unyou DSLearn about asset management on your DS. Due to uncontrollable circumstances in the markets and the economy, saving your money in a bank account is not the best asset management strategy. The software takes you from your savings account and explains to you about the basics of investing in trust funds, foreign currency, bonds, real estates, domestic deposit, loan repayments, insurance and all sorts of goods and services in the economy. Super Paper Mario

Super Paper Mario’s seemingly simple concept - giving the player the ability to flip between 2D and 3D worlds - pays off in level designs that are nothing short of brilliant.

Wing Island

Do you wish you could soar like the birds? Well, in Wing Island for the Wii, so do the birds. You play a cartoon bird-person who owns a sort of airplane errand service, where you deliver cargo, find lost cows and, uh, take pictures of birds. Like, regular, non-cartoon birds. Anthropomorphism is weird. [Read more →]

Blue Mars

Blue MarsThe fact that Blue Mars, the MMO from Avatar Reality on display at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, uses the impressive CryENGINE 2 featured in the astoundingly pretty Crysis, could lead you to assume the new game will be of the traditional MMORPG variety, spruced with perhaps a focus on conflict and a smattering of sci-fi pomp. In fact, from what we’ve gathered on the game at GDC, the title is closer to Second Life than it is to say… Tabula Rasa.

Pre GDC: Destructoid Interview: Eternity’s Child’s Luc Bernard and Sean Beeson

Pre GDC: Destructoid Interview: Eternity's Child's Luc Bernard and Sean Beeson video game

Luc Bernard is a 21 year old graphic designer and game developer on the cusp of making his big splash in the game industry with the upcoming WiiWare title Eternity’s Child. After seeing Luc’s work, it doesn’t take long to see that he has a unique perspective on what video games are about. Like Shigeru Miyamoto, the cartoonist who went from designing Donkey Kong to becoming the world’s leading game creator, Luc’s focus on visual design and his almost defiant rejection of familiar game conventions could lead to incredible things. Luc Bernard gives Dtoid a gift: Eternity's Child's screens/soundtrack! video game

My support for indie developers is no secret to anyone who has read Destructoid in the past, but there is a definite line between ranting about the people you admire and seeing them join your community to share their work. Destructoid has been fortunate enough to experience just that, as Eternity’s Child creator Luc Bernard has deemed us worthy of sharing not only new screens but the official soundtrack as well, which is deliciously reminiscent of The Nightmare Before Christmas. Warning: Wiimotes are training your children to kill their classmates

Warning: Wiimotes are training your children to kill their classmates video gameAlright, look. This is getting ridiculous. As if the nonsense we have to listen to every other day about video game violence wasn’t pathetically idiotic enough, now there are fools who would have other fools believe that the Wii, of all things, is the latest threat to public safety. Says Dr. Michael Rich of Children’s Hospital: “You are learning the muscle memory necessary to do those acts, to stab someone, to chop someone, to shoot someone. It’s one step closer to a virtual reality in which you are actually doing these things to people.” [Read more →]

Final Fantsy 7: Crisis Core and God of War: Chains of Olympus!!!

Photobucket
I’m playing Metal Gear Solid: Portable ops + online right now! Currently I have the rank of “FOXHOUND”, which is great!  I beat God of War! it was such a great game, 10/10 easy! The battle where I had to hug Kratos’ family was so sad, but to see Kratos become the God of War in the end was so awesome. I was supposed to get God of War 2 for Christmas, but my grandpa misunderstood me and bought me God of War 1 instead Anyways shouldn’t God of War 2 be heading towards the Greatest Hits shelves soon?
